Mindfulness In Art with Mary How
Arts Academy in the Woods
Tuesday, January 22, 9 am - 12 pm, with lunch
Learn the practice of using mindfulness in your creative
art expression. Participants will learn basic mindfulness skills to employ
while making art. Come prepared to make draw and practice skills learned. No
art experience required!
Friends of Gravatt Oyster Roast
Saturday, February 23, 6 PM
All Friends of Gravatt are invited to join us
for an evening of oysters, chili, and a camp fire by Lake Sylvia. Not a
Friend of Gravatt yet? Make a donation of $25.00 or more to the Friends
of Gravatt Annual Fund and join us in February!
Donations will be accepted at the event to cover costs. Any proceeds will benefit the annual fund.

4th Annual Bass Fishing Tournament

Sign up your two person
team for the 2013 Gravatt Bass Fishing Tournament on Sunday, April 21 to
benefit the camper scholarship fund and the Gravatt Environmental
Education Program. This event is family friendly so take this
opportunity to share to the outdoors with youth you care about. Your 2
person team can choose to fish from the bank, from a Gravatt canoe or
your own canoe, or you may bring your own boat (trolling motors only).
This tournament will be catch and release only. Fish will be measured and released. Awards will given to
the overall team winner, individual overall winner, biggest fish, and
smallest fish.
If you have a prize that you would like to donate to the tournament please let us know.
Schedule:
7:30am Registration
8am Fishing Begins
1pm Fishing Ends
1pm Lakeside Cookout, Awards and Social
Pre registration is required. Register early as spots will fill up fast.
Registration deadline is April 15 . Overnight options are available for
the night before and the night of the tournament. Please note: A "yes" or "maybe" RSVP response does not reserve you a spot until you have completed a registration form and paid in full.
Registration Fees -
2 person Shore Fishing Team - $40
2 person Gravatt Canoe Team (limited spaces available) - $60
2 person bring your own boat w/trolling motor Team - $60
One Person Team (shore or bring your own canoe) - $30
Additional team member -$20
All registrations include bottled water, cook out, and tournament t-shirt.
If you are interested in fishing but do not have a teammate please contact us and we will help you find a partner.

Big Delicious Event
Cooking Demo and Three Course Dinner

Participants will
enjoy a tasty 3 course dinner while award winning chef Brandon Velie, owner of
Juniper in Ridge Spring, demonstrates how to cook each course. The menu will feature the freshest, locally
grown, produce and meats.
Tickets for the event are $45/each. For more
